Gapps for Lollipop must be flashed on Android devices running custom ROMs based on Android Lollipop 5.0 and 5.1. Gapps 5.1 may be downloaded and flashed using custom recoveries like as TWRP or CWM, depending on the device’s availability.
Lollipop Gapps is available in a variety of flavours and bundles, including CPU architectures for your custom ROM, such as ARM, ARM64, x86, and x86_64. You must choose the correct platform before downloading; for example, if your ROM is operating on a 64-bit CPU architecture, you must download the Lollipop Gapps from the ARM64 platform.
Flashing the proper packages will provide you with a full experience in app control and installation; but, if you flash the other platform’s Gapps, it may not function. It will just prevent you from flashing, or if you do, your device may enter a boot loop. So, before flashing the Gapps on your device, check the custom ROM post or contact the author of the ROM.
Gapps 5.0 is intended for 32-bit and 64-bit systems, although the packages are platform-specific. The 32 bit Gapps for Lollipop have six packages: pico, nano, micro, mini, full, and stock, whereas the 64 bit Gapps for Lollipop include an extra package called Aroma, which only supports the Galaxy S5, Oneplus One, Oneplus X, Moto X, and Moto G.

If your smartphone runs Android KitKat 4.4, you must download and install KitKat Gapps. Lollipop Gapps 5 and Marshmallow Gapps 6 are completely different and will not operate on any device running the opposite version of Android. Please keep in mind that KitKat Gapps should be flashed on KitKat-based custom ROMs and Lollipop Gapps should be flashed on Lollipop-based custom ROMs.
AROMA Gapps Package
The Aroma package is distinct from the others in that it is tailored to certain Android devices such as the Galaxy S5, Oneplus One, Oneplus X, Moto X, and Moto G. Installing Gapps 5.x.x
- Step 1: Save the Gapps file to your computer’s internal storage or an external SD card.
- Step 2: Enter custom recovery mode (TWRP/Philz/CWM/Other).
- Step 3: Flash your modified ROM first, then the Gapps. (If you already have your custom ROM loaded, simply flash the Gapps and Wipe Cache/Dalvik once.)
