Avatars are something so common among instant messaging users, who are looking for different means to create them, surely WhatsApp took this into account and thanks to its latest updates we can now customize our own Avatar. We can also use our characters as stickers in chats or simply add them as a profile picture.
Something interesting regarding the Avatars, is that once the design is ready you can use them on Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, let’s remember that these apps belong to the Meta ecosystem ; It should be noted that in each app you can modify the character independently, if you want to. This means that it will no longer be necessary to use third-party applications because we will do everything without leaving the messaging.
How To Create An Avatar?
On both Android and IPhone , once we enter WhatsApp, we are going to choose the icon of the three points that are located in the header of the main screen, in the menu that displays we enter Settings , following this we are located in Avatars and then we choose Create your Avatar . This will take us to the customization interface where we must select each of our character’s traits such as hair style, eye color, clothing and others.
Once our character has been customized, we choose the Done option found at the top of the screen, in the popup we choose Save Changes and wait a few seconds for it to indicate that all the changes we made have been applied. Remember that it does not have to be very similar to you, after all this will be your character within the Meta apps, so you can edit it without limits.
How To Use Your Avatar As Stickers?
You are going to enter any WhatsApp chat, go to the emoji icon and once the emoji panel is displayed you will be able to see a new icon , that is where our character is housed, converted into stickers and with different expressions that are already predetermined, such such as: love, laughter, sad, anger, reaction and lifestyle. Like any other sticker, you select the one you like the most to be sent in the chat.
In case you decide to make changes to the style of your avatar and notice that the old design continues to appear in the chats, this is easy to solve, all you have to do is go to Settings> Avatar> the option Search Stickers , we hope and in a matter of seconds they will be updated to the new style that your character has.
Saved Messages
Among other new functions we find ” (You) “, where we can start a conversation with our same number to save personal notes, so you will avoid using the chat where your ex blocked you to write the errand list, and not only for that, From there, as in any other chat, you can send multimedia, audio, etc. In fact, if we send our new stickers here we will have a preview before using them with our contacts.
In this case we only have to save our WhatsApp number as if it were one more contact on our device, well not necessarily on the device, in my case I save them in my Google account, then we enter WhatsApp, the floating icon to start a chat, in the three points of the header and in Update. Once the contacts are synchronized , our own chat appears on the list with a notice ” Send messages to this number .”
